Hello all. and to Jman. this site seems interesting. Stumbled apon it trying to get some info DIY electric drums and here I am. My hobbies are playing and building guitars but got the drum itch lately. I own a Roland SPD11 but decided to build a kit and recently got a Alesis-dm5. I,m also into CNC and have my own machine in the garage. I plan on useing the machine to make me some drum hoops or the whole drum. Anyhoot more on that in another thread.

Welcome to the forum Charlie. I hope I have some useful info for you here. I am in the process of building a CNC machine myself, but nowhere near what you have there. That is cool! (drools)

Jman

Thanks Jman. Ya I spent a few pennies, L.O.L...I will be posting pics as I get the time to start fabricating. Just playing with some transducers and practice pads(remo) to see how well they work. You may have or may not have heard of this site but lots of info on CNC at cnczone.com.... Cheers for now.

Yeah, that is a cool machine. I would love to see some of your final outcome when you get it done. 8-)

Here is a pretty good website for Remo stuff that I found when I first got into E-drums. If you are interested in checking it out. Check your PM's for more info.

Jman ;)
